El Gallo Restaurant in Rancho Murieta

Was working in the area and home owners recommended that we try it out. Service was very prompt and polite. Chips and salsa on the house with our order. Great house made salsa!! I had the taco and enchilada with beans and rice. Food was really good. Lots of great lunch specials. Priced very reasonably. Would definitely come back again.

Fast service ( 5 stars for how fast these ladies attended us), only place we have been to that charges +$2 for soda water.... food is non authentic. might as well have taco bell for dinner.

Not a good option for vegetarians. Lard or chicken broth in the beans/rice. I also believe they fry their chips in lard. Otherwise, a cute place. Especially if seated on the patio by the pond.

Outstanding for not having a lot of choices in the neighborhood, but average if you include Sacramento area Mexican restaurants

Great service. Although the food wasn't as good as I remembered it a few years back. The red enchilada sauce could use improvement. Nice outdoor patio. Waitress was excellent.

Very good food.Of the items I ate and/or tasted: Beef taco, cheese enchilada, beef enchilada, chili relleno, chicken chimichanga, refried beans, black beans, rice, salsas, all were very good except for the chili relleno, which I thought was very bland.The portions are very satisfactory, and everything tasted fresh.The establishment was very clean and welcoming, and the tables & seating allow plenty of room without feeling cramped.The service was very good and fast, and prices are comparable to most mexican food restaurants.Overall, I would reccomend El Gallo if you are in the area and want a good meal.

This place is worth a try. They serve big portions for affordable rates. Always clean and with awesome vibes. I highly recommend this place.

The food was awesome! Clean. The only problem was, the waitress I guess didn't quite understand my husbands order. Which was a bit confusing as everyone else at our table understood what he wanted BUT the waitress!

The El Gallo has good Mexican offerings and is convenient for those visiting the Rancho Marietta Equestrian Center. The outdoor seating is popular for social gathering.

Great service but the last few times there the food didn't have much flavor. The Cadillac margaritas are worth the price tho.

I came here on a Sunday and the service was horrid. We waited 50 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food. I got an enchilada a la carte and i could've made a better enchilada myself. No flavor whatsoever.The only redeeming thing about this restaurant is the chips and salsa. It also comes with black beans mashed and that was a delectable dip.

Food is always great and authentic. Service can be hit or miss at times, but is generally pretty good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

I was working on the area and there is no many choices to get food around in the area, so we went to this place and I ordered 2 tacos with rice and beans and they charge me $17+ dollars, I was surprise for the cost of a simple plate.

Amazing food and super friendly staff. The carnitas at El Gallo are especially tasty but seriously, everything is amazing. If you're a fan of extra spicy salsa, ask for the secret spicy stuff when you are seated with their free chips and salsa. The regular salsa is great but I like salsa to actually destroy a few taste buds while I'm noshing and exploring the menu. Their spicy salsa doesn't disappoint! Great margaritas here as well.

The food is amazing and the service is incredible. The waitresses are very attentive and kind. I think I've eaten here about eight times in the last month lol! I'm in love with their beef quesadilla and chile colorado. :) oh and the margaritas are the best! Try the BlackBerry.

Best Tacos EVVVER. Amazing and friendly service. Order made quick as i was on my lunch break and made perfectly. Bartender was very helpful and friendly. Cute spot tucked away from road with shadded outside patio.

My husband and I have a standing argument all the time over what is our favorite Mex resteraunt. Mine is ALWAYS El Gallo. Yummy yummy food amazing service. They also have THE BEST bartender Thor 💜.
